What is hepic?

hepic is a carrier-grade, vendor-agnostic telecom observability platform for capturing, correlating and analyzing VoIP and real-time communications - SIP, RTP, WebRTC and more.

How is hepic related to homer?

The two products share no code. hepic is built on HEP/EEP stack technologies pioneered by HOMER. HOMER remains 100% independent and open-source, while hepic adds carrier-grade scale, analytics and enterprise features available via commercial licensing - and sponsors HOMER.

Does hepic record conversations?

Privacy is important to us and by design hepic derives quality metrics (MOS, R-Factor, jitter, loss) from media streams without recording any audio. On-demand RTP recording is available when you explicitly enable it.

Can I deploy hepic on my own infrastructure?

Absolutely. hepic runs on-prem with bring-your-own storage and HEP/TLS encryption, or as a managed BYOC instance on hepic.cloud. Both scale to any volume.

Which tools can send data to hepic?

Any HEP/EEP-enabled source or supported SBC - including Kamailio, OpenSIPS, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, RTPEngine, sngrep and heplify - hepic ships with HEPAgent, our most advanced packet capture agent.
